Frolicking by the murky waters

Hello spring break. Sun, warmer nights out, chocolate bunnies, gta and a lot of shopping. Can't wait to start doing absolutely everything!

Don't I make a good fisherman? haha the only thing is, I'd scare all the fishes away :) Got those sandals in beijing and they're the comfiest little thingabobs ever. I need to get my other summer shoes out. Need to find them first though, since my mom stashed them away like a little squirrel during the winter...

Let's fly to neverland

Only two more days until spring break! My arms are dead from softball and I have a math test to look forwards to tomorrow. But I got a new pair of sandals today and had a lunchtime photoshoot with Sophie, which made my day haha!

These photos are from our Cabaret a while back. Our theme was Disney, and I was Tigerlily, although everyone thought I was pocahontas. I made the whole outfit myself; the feather headband is from H&M, and the outfit is actually just a scarf that I wrapped around myself teehee.

And an inspiration collage to end this post, since its so boring:

Material girls

Every year at our school we have a Fashion Gala, this wannabe-fashion show thing, and this year I was the MC! I had absolutely no clue what MCs usually wear, so I just opted for something really simple: my escada shirt buttoned all the way to the top, an h&m mini skirt and my Docs.

Below are photos from the show. The better photos are by my friend, Chris, who takes friggin gorgeous photos. We're going to do some collabs for my magazine during the spring break.

Sequins and Spring

I got these sequined leggings accidentally. Desperate for a simple black pair, I grabbed the first ones I saw at H&M. I only realized when wearing them that the lower half is sequined. I couldn't be bothered to return them though.

It's finally spring! And holidays are in less than a week - I'm already making a list of things to do with friends, some of which include DIY clothing projects. Any good DIY projects I should try out? Some of you have been so sweet to offer bag-design ideas for my cotton print bags. I love all your suggestions :)

Hollywood infected your brain, you want to kiss in the rain

Life's a jumble of things I can't define right now. I'll just keep my nose in Pride & Prejudice and try not to annoy people with my moodiness. Oh, and Marina and the Diamonds are amazing.

Printing bags is too addicting! I'm going to make a couple more, maybe with more interesting designs, and they'll go up on my online bag store! I've still got to make the site and everything, so stay tuned for more info.

What I wore going out with friends the other day: Zara dress, Doc Martens, and a two-sided bag I made myself.

Face hunter - Yvan Rodic

He demonstrates that you don't need a super camera with a ginormous lens to capture people perfectly; in fact, he actually uses the exact same camera as i do! The coloring of his photos is also really distinct. I feel like I should find a distinct coloring for all my pictures as well. Anyway, I always thought him a more classic version of mark thecobrasnake. his subjects are all about style, class and sophistication.

Isabel from Walk of Fashion interviewed me a while ago. You can find it here

It was acceptable in the 80s

I just got home yesterday from my snowboarding trip and I feel quite sad that I had to leave. The trip was with four amazing friends and I got to know them all much better. Us girls cooked dinner for the guys (and the other way around, which was entertaining and quite a fail) and the four days were spent playing GTA, snowboarding/skiing, eating and doing random things together. Isabel and I got sick towards the end so that kind of dampened the spirits. But I want to go back to that trip so badly. Now I'm at home with the fever with a german oral in two days. Ohgreat. I'm all wrapped up in these pictures with my latest DIY cotton bag and think pullover. Cold weather doesn't give a lot of opportunity to be stylish!

In my last post before I left, I asked you to shoot me some questions for me to answer:

Who takes your photos?
Mostly my friends, although my sister also helps sometimes.

What camera do you use?
A canon G10 and a Canon 20d (yes, I'm a canon person!)

How do you make your pictures so big?
I'm not really sure what you mean, but I just copy and past the html link given on Flickr. Hope that helps!

How did you print that bag?
I used special printing paper and printed my own design onto it with an inkjet printer. Then I ironed it onto a cotton bag. The process is actually quite simple :)

What made you decide to make this magazine you've been talking about?
I was doing a whole load of graphic work for school events and the school magazine (I'm layout editor) and was just so inspired. I felt like I needed my own project to work on, and a magazine would be perfect, since it allows me to combine everything I love: art, photography, music and style.

How to you light your photos from inside?
My secret weapon: Lens correction on photoshop! It allows you make that lighted-from-inside look and can really add a lot of depth to a picture :)

I want to here more about this magazine - what's the link?
I'm still working on the website! But since the first issue won't be out for another couple of months, I'm not in a rush. I'll definitely keep you all informed about the process though!

Can i buy your magazine somewhere?
The first issue of KNEON won't be out until the end of this school year, since I'm so swamped with work. But once its out, you will be able to find it online for free.

What is your favourite pair of shoes?
My oxblood Doc Martens fosho - can't stop wearing them.

Where did you buy those red highheels?
At H&M, my heaven on earth :)

What is your favourite bag?
Hmmm. I don't have a lot of bags, but my favourite one atm is my DIY Chanel cotton bag (clearer pictures coming soon)

Tell us something quirky about you
I read romance books because they're so hot teehee
