Waterfallin' / Week 1

Michael Kors sweater | Mom's top | Miss Selfridge jeans | Zara boots | Mango bag

Looking a bit worse for wear after shooting for some hours. The lovely DC helped me snap this (with her bike - yeah, I wish I had a mint bike with a basket too. It has a basket. Sorry, I'm just still recovering from the sadness from earlier in the year when I found out that my university campus is on a hill. Ergo no biking. Ergo no basket. Tear face. First world problems.)

A last dinner at Neni am Naschmarkt. I had the caesar salad and some lemonade.

An outtake from last week's outfit post. I thought I looked really angry so I didn't want to post it, but hey, this isn't an online dating site. Right? ...

You all know I'm crazy for graphic design and layout in magazines. I'm pretty much your everyday indie poser kid when it comes to choice of reading material - INDIE, ILOVEFAKE, Lula, Tank - but one of my favorites ever is ViVi Magazine. It's an explosion of cute and sexy half-asian girls with impeccable japanese 'it'-girl style all slammed into one busy magazine. The layout is messy, but there is so much good content. They also make sure to keep the models constant throughout all their issues, so you're essentially seeing a same group of girls as they 'grow' - witnessing hair changes, how various makeup and stylings look on them. You get a real sense of style that is applicable to everyday life, and I think that makes the magazine so approachable. Also, top bloggers like Rumi of FashionToast.com have been featured in it, so obviously they're aware of the blogger phenomenon and working with it to further their 'achievable style' notion.

In a nutshell: ViVi is a cool magazine.

Exciting exciting, I'm featured in Global Asia Magazine No. 25 (Pages 68-69). Unfortunately, the article is only in Chinese and Portuguese. Thanks Paolo!

Anyway, if you haven't noticed in the title, I've decided to do a big long post like this each week, so to include all those random things that happen during the week that I feel aren't 'fashion' enough to constitute separate post. Let me know what you think!
