Let's consider the concept of loving a magazine: it seems superficial and rather forever-alone. But for me, something just feels so right when the photographs are well selected and breathtaking; when the art direction only aids the effectiveness of the content; and when the whole book seems to be a cohesive story made up of just the right grade of paper. Below are some independent fashion/art magazines that I'm reading this week. And they're doing it just right.

Saying all that, I want to know: What magazines do YOU read? And why do you like them?
Ooh Oyster is great, but I can't find it in Vienna. And I've also yet to read Neon! Which I should, since that was the name i originally wanted to call my mag :P
I love Lula and of course Vogue. And sometimes magazines I can't read like Chinese or Japanese magazine. It's just fun looking at the photos. Very inspirational.
Dazed & Confused is my inspiration. I regularly read some Indonesian franchised magazines too like Elle and Harper's Bazaar while occasional trip to T Magazine website feeds me as well.
I also love NEON (Germany) since they are pretty rad, laid back but still mind-challenging.
On another note, I sort of work on my own publication at www.vociferousmag.com should you want to take a look :) Cannot wait for new KNEON for sure!
That paragraph you wrote was beautiful so firm and passionate!
Hi-Fructose it's an art magazine that I read additively. I love their writers the way they describe the art, it makes me want to write about art like that. Actually I hope to one day be in it. but thats just a dream! Also S magazine I think they have a mature, not afraid, artsy way of portraying nudity and it's just refreshing to read. I like Mare Claire and Nylon magazine they just feel different but keep things the same with obviously different people/clothes That mag. OZON looks really cool! Nvr heard of it.
Ohh wow. I am so envious. Here in the Philippines, the magazine selection is pretty shitty. In my opinion, at least, because I'm into the younger, more independent magazines compared to, say, Vogue or Elle. Fortunately, they do sell i-D here, and it's one of my favourites!
Hello! I'm a twenty-year-old dumpling from Beijing/Vienna, currently studying History of Art and Chinese Studies at the University of Edinburgh. I run my own independent online magazine, KNEON:
I don't read that much magazines cause they're quite expensive but that's a shame because I love them
